Docai Glaze

Docai started in the Ming dynasty and continued in the Qing dynasty.  After the Yongzheng reign, Fencai (famille rose) appeared on the Docai porcelain wares.

Docai is a way of deocrating the porcelains which is first outline pattern with cobalt blue, then fire at a high temperature for the blue outline, then filled with different overglazed colors in the pattern and fired again at a low tempera
