This vase has a wide flared mouth, a straight neck and a oblate belly with a ring foot.  This is the common shape of the vase with “San Yang Kai Tai? glaze, which is a special glaze caused by the glaze melting and fusing.  This glaze was very popular after the Qianlong reign of the Qing dynasty.  In ancient China, “San Yang Kai Tai?was an auspicious expression indicating that "Spring returns to the earth and everything looks happy and gay."  It is also the symbol of prosperity and fulfillment of one’s desire.
