Height 6" Xi is a washing basin for daily use. This basin has two upright handles, a flared mouth, a shallow belly and a flat bottom. The mouth rim of the basin is adorned with thunder patterns. Two dragons rendered in relief appear in-between the wave pattern covering the interior of the vessel. When the basin is filled with water, the user can rub the upper part of the handles to produce a buzzing sound, which in turn creates undulating waves on the water's surface. Sprinkles of water then spout upwards as if they are gushing out of the dragon's mouth.
