Blue and White jar with cover ITEM# VJ43161 Size: 8" x 8" x 7" The blue-white style, also known as "underglaze blue," is created by drawing the design with cobalt pigment onto the stoneware body, and painting over it with a transparent glaze. The piece is then fired at a high temperature. Blue-white porcelain was introduced during the Yuan Dynasty and has been continuously in production ever since, thanks to it's bright colors, simple but elegant patterns, and smooth glaze that never fades. Our collection includes vases in blue-white, yellow ground underglaze blue, and underglaze blue with color glazing. * Wood Base Included |
