The vase is painted with birds and peony flowers, the former being dynamic and vivid. The patterns appear clear and transparent with gorgeous and clear -cut colors. The peony and birds on the vase smack of flower-bird painting style of Qing Dynasty. First, the yellow glaze is painted over the white glazed piece and then the famille rose is painted over the yellow glaze and fired at a low temperature. The firing process is quite complicated. This is a rarely seen masterpiece.
